Me Made Mittwoch

Ich fand, dass der luftige Stoff geradezu danach schrie,  zu einem Haus- und Gartenkleid für heiße Sommertage verarbeitet zu werden.

Wie gut, dass der Schnitt relativ einfach ist, denn der Stoff ist in der Verarbeitung etwas ... schwierig.

Nachtrag: Die Ärmel sind nicht ganz nach dem Schnitt gefertigt.  Ich wollte die Ärmel dreiviertellang, habe sie aber ein wenig zu kurz geschnitten. Daher habe ich ihn wieder ein Stüch verlängert – nur dass das Verlängerungsstück im schrägen Fadenlauf zugeschnitten ist.

The light fabric is perfect for a house- and garden-dress for hot summer days.

I was happy about the simple pattern, because the fabric was a bit ... difficult to sew.

Ich bin jedes Mal aufs Neue gerührt, wenn sich jemand die Mühe macht, zum Freitag einen Fisch zu servieren, auch wenn ich nicht auf jedem Kommentar etwas schreibe. Aber ich lese alle Kommentare und schaue mir natürlich auch alle Fische an. Und ich freue mich darüber. Über jeden einzelnen.

Hellblaues Jerseykleid mit anthrazitfarbenem Samtband (von hier) nach dem Burda-Schnitt 123 aus dem Maiheft von 2006. Allerdings habe ich die Volants und den Reißverschluss weggelassen.

Sommertage / Summer Days

Nach vier Tagen auf dem Boot schwanken selbst zu Hause noch Boden und Schreibtisch ...

Ich mag die Bootshäuser auf der Müritz. Und die Sonne, die Schwalben und geräucherten Fisch auch. 

In den nächsten Tagen zeige ich mehr Bilder. 

Jetzt muss ich erst mal ein paar Schulbuchillustrationen fertig zeichnen.

After four days on the boat the floor and the desk at home are staggering ...

I like the boathouses on the Müritz (lake in northeastern Germany). And the sun, the swallows and smoked fish too.

I'll show some more pictures next days. 

First I have to finish some schoolbook illustrations.

Me Made Mittwoch

Heute trage ich Selbstgenähtes vom Wochenende:

Das Kleid aus Viskosejersey ist nach dem Burda-Schnitt 120 aus dem Heft 5/2009 genäht. Die Ärmel habe ich leicht abgeändert, ein raffiniert gerafftes zusätzliches Vorderteil aus Stoffmangel weggelassen und das Rockteil unten ein wenig ausgestellt. 

Das wird nicht mein letztes Kleid nach diesem Schnitt gewesen sein.

Der Me Made Mittwoch ist eine wunderbare Idee von Catherine. Dort steht auch, wer sonst noch mitmacht.

Today I wear what I sewed last weekend.

The dress of rayon jersey is based on the Burda pattern 120 of the magazine 5/2009. I modified a bit the sleeves, omitted a draping part for lack of fabric and made a slight A-line.

That was not the last dress in this style I sewed.

The Me Made Mittwoch (Wednesday) is an wonderful idea of Catherine. Find there a list of the other participants.

Wilde Blumen / Wild Flowers

Die Stickdateien sind ratzfatz auf den Stoff gebracht – passend zum Sommerwetter, das ich lieber draußen genießen möchte als lange an der Maschine zu sitzen. 

Die Blumen lassen sich auch ohne Stoffapplikation und dezent einfarbig sticken. Natürlich gibt es sie auch als Handstickvorlagen.

Und das Beste kommt zum Schluss ...

The embroidery designs will be sewn out very quickly –  I prefer enjoying the sun outside rather than sitting at the machine.

The flowers can also be embroidered without a fabric appliqée or even as a Redwork with only one color. Of course there will be hand embroidery pattern as well.
